Christmas is always amazing. Christmas gives me the feeling of safety. The lights, the food, the drinks, the smell of oranges and pine trees, the presents, they all remind me of my childhood. Thou I'm pretty sure, I'll never feel that excitement I used to when I was little, I really hope that when I will have kids, I'll be able to arrange things in a way that gives them similar feelings. Yesterday I was on MSN talking to one of my good friends, and he shared my opinion on the subject. We agreed, that we don't feel, that Christmas spirit anymore. I told him, that I really hope, parenthood will bring it back and he made me think about things. He said, decorating the tree in silence and hiding it along with the christmas pressies, will be real fun (with the love of my life- personal extension). He turned my view from pessimistic, to childishly naive and optimistic. Thanks a lot for that dude!
Also, today (since my family got on my nerves in every 5 minutes and made me want to cry the whole day) I decided to watch my new favourite show again. I meet Glee through one of my youtube subscriptions, a girl who is obsessed with beauty tutoring. And I've been obsessed with her for a while, I subscribed to her channel, watch her videos minutes after she uploaded them and last but not least I followed her on Twitter. I've read it in her tweets, that every week, she watched glee. An hour later, she posted that it was amazing and she fell in love with the show. I was just looking for a new series to watch so I said why not! Let'S give it a shot.
Since then, I'm addicted to the show. Well, no, not to the show (cause it's cheesy and gay and all american-highschool-like in general) but to the music they make in the show. They are basically doing covers of really famous songs from the history of music (Queen's Somebody to love, Rihanna's Take a bow, Sound of music, Wicked, etc), they give a little new to every song, they just make it sound a lot better than the original ones. Or maybe just for me. But for example the cover of Wicked's Defying Gravity is just so much more enjoyable than the original stage version.
Maybe it's because of the magical power of Lea Michelle's voice (Glee cast- Rachel)
here'S a link for the original song performed at the Tony awards and the one that Glee covered:
